Profile:
The Louisiana State University School of Dentistry (LSUSD) offers a comprehensive DDS program, as well as postgraduate dental offerings. The LSUSD is one of six schools in the Louisiana State Medical Center and is known for its excellent clinical and research facilities.

The dental curriculum is noted for its flexibility and skills integration. Students begin with an immersion in the basic pre-clinical sciences and gradually move towards targeted clinical experiences. The fourth year concentrates completely on comprehensive patient care and dental surgical procedures. In addition, LSUSD students take correlative courses that integrate all aspects of the dental curriculum - from basic science skills to practical application.

In addition to complete access to all the resources offered by a major state university, LSU is located in New Orleans, which offers endless recreational and professional opportunities.

Admissions Requirements:
Most LSU applicants have completed a bachelor's degree program prior to entry into the dental school. Specific college academic requirements include:

Biology with lab - 8 Semester Units
General Chemistry with lab - 8 Semester Units
